I'm Deborah Cox, an experienced therapist dedicated to helping others overcome difficulties and challenges and empower them to discover their full potential. With close to a decade of experience in the field, it is an absolute privilege to be able to support clients and I gain immense satisfaction from seeing them develop and grow.
Having spent many years in a corporate role, my path into counselling began from a desire to help others and for greater fulfilment and meaning in my working life. I also found counselling to be a huge support through a particularly difficult time, so I was aware of how life changing therapy could be. I feel that the transition into a counselling role came at the right time of life for me personally, and I have learned so much about myself in the process.
Whilst I have many years of clinical practice, I feel that my previous experience, both in a work and personal capacity, gives me an understanding of the challenges faced in the workplace, as well as in other areas of life.
I believe that it is hugely important to feel at ease and comfortable with your therapist, as a strong therapeutic relationship is at the heart of effective therapy. It’s always my aim to create a warm, accepting and non-judgmental space for my clients, so they can feel safe to explore and process their thoughts, feelings and experiences and help them move forward. Whether you're seeking support through a specific life event or loss, experiencing relationship issues or looking to embark on a path of self-discovery, I'm here to accompany you every step of the way.
As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I uphold the highest standards of professionalism and ethical practice. Feel free to reach out and learn more about how LiveBetter Counselling can support you in your personal and relational growth.
